The Roadkeeper’s Archive Shelf combines a standing bookcase model with ordinary barrel storage. Open it to store supplies in twenty-seven inventory slots.
The books shown on the model are decorative details; its inventory does not change the visible arrangement of books. The shelf faces the player when placed.
Place in the story
The shelves make written memory part of the Roadkeepers’ everyday surroundings. Libraries, studies and workrooms hold books alongside the same kinds of tables and lamps found elsewhere in the network.
The story reaches the player as records with different purposes: a camp ledger, a watch report, a work docket and personal appeals. The shelf fits that documentary world, while the readable chapters themselves are found on Inscribed Stone and Relic Plinths rather than selected from its decorative book spines.
