Roadkeeper’s Field Journal

Collect the Roadkeepers’ six chapters and carry their building recipes with you.

Roadkeeper’s Field Journal

The Roadkeeper’s Field Journal opens with a short introduction and field notes. As you read inscriptions with the Surveyor’s Lens, discovered chapters appear on later pages in chapter order.

Discoveries are attached to your player rather than a particular book. Your notes survive death and can be reread in a replacement journal. Chapters may be found in any order.

Obtaining a journal also adds all fourteen custom crafting recipes to Minecraft’s recipe book. The journal itself has a recipe, so losing a copy does not end your investigation.

Place in the story

The Field Journal gives the Roadkeepers’ scattered voices a common place. The opening describes people who fed travelers, tended bridges and kept a light above every door. The six collected chapters then show how that public duty became a series of closures and orders to keep others out.

These pages preserve different kinds of testimony: Enna’s shelter rules, a signal watch, a camp ledger, a leaf-stained page, a work docket and Enna’s final appeal. Collecting them lets the player compare those voices rather than follow a single surviving narrator through a fixed quest.

The journal you carry is a record of your discoveries. Enna’s camp ledger is one source quoted inside it; the game does not identify your book as Enna’s own lost possession. Replacing the book keeps access to the notes you have already gathered.
