Overgrown Market

Five uneven market pavilions surround a broken fountain and abandoned goods.

The Overgrown Market is an irregular square of five pavilions. Dyed awnings, lantern beams, old produce and a boarded notice wall give each stall a former use. A broken fountain and flower beds interrupt the roofs and paths.

A Lantern Moth lives near the remaining lights, and supplies can be found in the market’s containers. The Last Light inscription appears here as well as in the keep. It gives you another place to read Enna’s final appeal while exploring the quieter stops along the old road.

Place in the story

The last-market notice records “No fourth bell,” tells the stallholders to leave and directs them to the keep. The lost-and-found board preserves smaller traces: a bronze key, two survey maps and Enna’s name. It places the retreat beside things and people that someone still hoped to recover.

The five stall signs ask that a fair share be left even after closing. That request echoes the camp’s spare bowl and the shelter’s place for another guest. The Last Light chapter supplies the later admission that the doors were closed; it does not say whether everyone ordered to the keep reached it.

The bronze key and maps listed on the board are pieces of environmental writing, not a separate key quest. Enna’s name on a lost-and-found notice adds to the uncertainty about her whereabouts without settling her fate.
