The Ruined Windmill keeps the mod’s familiar windmill image in the world. Four diagonal canvas sails connect to a tapered octagonal tower. A broken roof exposes the mill’s age, while the lower grain annex keeps the outline from becoming a single uninterrupted column.

Explore the shaft, loft and grain rooms for the building’s workspaces and storage. Its inscription is The Signal, the watch log about the dark fourth tower. Like the other waystations, it offers an exploration stop without a fixed guardian encounter.

Place in the story

The mill log records a seized shaft but dry grain, followed by “Feed the road.” The miller’s share asks for seed to be saved before the road is fed. Together, the notices preserve a practical balance between immediate hospitality and the next season’s needs.

The Signal chapter brings the dark fourth tower into this food-producing place. The pairing suggests that lights, grain and watchkeeping belonged to the same network of care. It does not establish that the vessel seized the shaft or that the miller knew why the tower went dark.
