Lantern Moths live in the Abandoned Apiary, Roadside Shrine, Roadkeeper Infirmary and Overgrown Market. They fly close to their home and seek lit Keeper’s Lanterns or Keeper Braziers. A cold lantern will not interest them until you rekindle it.
Use honeycomb on a moth to produce a short calm and glow response. One honeycomb is consumed in survival. The response lasts ten seconds, with a sixty-second feeding cooldown; both timers pause while the moth is unloaded. Feeding does not tame, breed or produce an item reward.
Place in the story
Lantern Moths leave small signs of life around places that have lost their human voices. They inhabit the apiary, shrine, infirmary and market: sites of food, care, rest and exchange. Their interest in working lamps ties those residents to the fellowship’s recurring promise to leave a light.
Rekindling a cold lantern can give a nearby moth a working light to seek. Their observed role is local: they respond to home, working light and honeycomb. The writing does not explain their origin; honeycomb is a gentle interaction rather than a story reward.
